You’ve heard Maher Zain’s Eid Gift and now it’s Labbayk’s turn. They’ve kindly offered their new nasheed “The Greatest Gift” as a free download for their fans. Here is what they said about it:
Alhamdulillah, with the help of Allah we’re making new nasheeds for our next album which is to be released sometime next year, if not the year after insha’Allah.
As an ‘Eid gift, we’re giving away a track for free download. Please note that the track is a draft and the real studio quality of the track will be featured in the next album insha’Allah.

Maher Zain released three new snippets from his upcoming album a few days ago as a gift to his fans for Eid. Here is what he said:
Eid Moubarakn to you and your families, may you all have a happy and blessed Eid. Let’s remember in this Eid those who are less fortunate than us and who are unable to enjoy this day. As a Eid gift to you all I uploaded some new samples from my …album. One of them is the cheerful upbeat song “Baraka Allahu Lakuma” I hope you like it. The album will be available soon in all shops and on iTunes too isA. Eid Moubarak
The biggest question all of you seem to have is when is the album releasing. Well, in the beginning of September he said he initially thought that he finished everything for the album back in August, but upon going back and listening to it, he wasn’t happy with a few things, so he went off into the studio to fix them up. His goal was to have everything ready by Eid, but as Eid has already passed that obviously hasn’t happened. As of now, he says the album will be available “soon”, so we guess it should be available sometime next month, InshAllah. Rest assured, when it releases we will be posting the links here to purchase the album off iTunes and other retail outlets. If you are a registered member, you will receive an email notification

About Amir Awan
Amir Awan is a British composer/singer/song writer who was born on 28th October 1982 in North London, England. He was born into a professional, practicing, Muslim family, and thus Islam has always been an integral part of his life. At an early age, he spent several years at Safar Academy being trained in the art of Qur’anic recitation (Tajweed). After graduating, he was invited to take up a post teaching Tajweed at the Academy. Amir then went on to read a Mathematics degree at University College London (UCL), during which time he began reciting Qur’an at opening ceremonies of various Islamic functions across the UK.
With a vision of sharing his love for Islam with Muslims and non-Muslims alike, and for correcting the stereotypical image of Islam perpetuated in the media, he embarked upon his own spiritual quest, seeking to use his lyrical and vocal ability to share his passion in a creative, fun and contemporary way.
His music which focuses upon spiritual reflection, political issues, and meaning in a confusing world, provides young Muslims with an alternative to the current following of empty and soul-less pop and rap which focus primarily on lust, materialism, violence, drugs, money, gangsterism etc..
Amir has also studied at some of UK’s most distinguished vocal colleges including the Institute of Contemporary Music and Performance (ICMP), where he developed his style and enhanced his flair of singing.

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these nasheed packs, so I thought I’d do one Alhamdulillah. We have included a favourite (Nazeel Azami – Opening) of one of our members, Maimunah, who is also very active in the forums. She along with 786muslim4life786(Anisah), ali2025, christychianglkm, Hajira and kakazed have posted some nice material, especially nasheeds, in the forums so make sure you do check them out in the Audio/MP3 Section and please leave a comment or a word of thanks on there when you download…uploading takes a lot of time. The forums are especially helpful when there are a lack of updates here on the main site!
JazakAllah Khair to all of you who regularly comment and rate the posts (Bushra, Anisah, Saj, Shabz, Ali, Hajira etc.). It gives people an idea about the quality of the nasheeds in the post and it helps keep our community buzzing, so we really appreciate it, MashAllah.

“We try to provide a fun, enjoyable music alternative to Muslims who wish to be true to their American identity, but want to follow the tenants of their religion. In the video, we travel around the world meeting Muslims of different ethnicities and enjoy the unity and sense of brotherhood that Ramadan brings. In the end, however, we all come together to an American mosque based in Sterling, VA to showcase the new Muslim American culture that is emerging rapidly.”

Scenes like this, it makes me reminisce what it meant growing up with Ramadan as a kid.
My homie’s buying up the corner store. Now or later, quarter waters,
We break at eight but its quarter to four.
They got jokes, like oh yeah he’s fasting. Something about blessings, heaven everlasting
Asking like the Feds up on me, “But dude, let me ask you for real, is you hungry?”
A hunger for the day when the sins on my slate be as empty as the food on my plate.

Ramadan vibrations, more donations. Dinner invitations, many supplications
Good behavior means better reputations. Don’t start nothing, no provocations
